About the Remote Workstation Card Software for LinuxΒΆ
The Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux package is a source code package. This package is used to create a binary RPM that can then be installed on Linux workstations containing a PCoIP Remote Workstation Card. Problems with the package should be reported via the Support Site.
Remote Workstation Card Software provides additional features and enhancements used via the PCoIP Remote Workstation Card installed in a remote workstation, and provides compatibility for PCoIP Zero Clients or PCoIP Software clients in sessions with Remote Workstation Cards.
Remote Workstation Card Software works with the PCI device function called Host Driver Function which is enabled in the Remote Workstation Card firmware. If the administrator installs the software on the workstation, users can manage additional features.
The Remote Workstation Card Software user interface (UI) is installed when the Remote Workstation Card Software is installed. The UI communicates with the PCoIP firmware via the device drivers installed by the Remote Workstation Card Software, and configures the features of the Remote Workstation Card Software.
This software allows users to:
- Use a local cursor and keyboard
- Use a local Wacom tablet driver (requires minumum Remote Workstation Card and Zero Client firmware versions, and may require the latest Wacom driver)
- Push client display topology to the host
- Lock the host workstation when a session is terminated
- Disconnect a session
- View host statistics and connection information
- Adjust the PCoIP session Image Quality preference setting
- Facilitates communications between the Remote Workstation Card Agent and the Remote Workstation Card.
